- Old Home Page for Amazing Gila Mountain Dulcimers with a southwest flair by Kerry Coates.
Description of the American Dulcimer for those who don't know what it is and links to all the designs and models of dulcimer that we have to offer. There is the Equus for the horse lover, the mystical dragon model, a southwest collection, a traditional collection and a student model.
- Dragon Mountain Dulcimer by Gila Mountain Dulcimers.
Everyone loves dragons and now you can have a musical instrument with a carved dragon head! The dragon design is also repeated on the soundhole.
- Equus Mountain Dulcimer by Gila Mountain Dulcimers.
The Equestrian Dulcimer. The Equus dulcimer has an elegant and graceful carved horse peghead that is admired by horse lovers nationwide. Many horse lovers have complimented me on this carving of a horse head, and if you love horses, now you can have a musical instrument with a carved horse head scroll!
- Traditional Dulcimer Collection by Gila Mountain Dulcimers.
These dulcimers carry designs with the traditional values of the south. There is the Hog Fiddle model with a traditional "F" shaped soundhole, and the popular Pennsylvania Dutch Heart soundhole design. The heart soundhole can be painted or un-painted - which ever you prefer. Most folks like their hearts painted with their favorite colors and what a wonderful gift to give your loved one for Valentines Day, Christmas or their Birthday! Custom soundhole designs can be done if you have a favorite motif, or you can redesing the heart to whatever shape you like. Just send us a picture or sketch!
- Southwest Dulcimer Collection by Gila Mountain Dulcimers.
The soundholes can be Southwest Indian art symbols, Kokopelli, Gecko (not geico!), Texas Ranger Stars, Bears, Santa Fe, or you design your own. The Kokopelli seems to be our most popular model and we can paint your kokopelli any color you wish! The Gecko is next in line with his cute antics and adorable nature. The gecko, as you know, eats insects and so cuts down the number of insects in our gardens! You can combine the kokopelli and the gecko both on the same instrument if you prefer, or any other combination of southwest indian art designs.
