Both mountain and hammered dulcimers are done with various shades of brown and black. The background shown is an old ivory color. It could also be done in white. Colors which could be used around the edges at the top - and for the outside dangles (if wanted) on the mountain dulcimer earrings include various shades of greens, blues, reds, purples and lavenders, yellows and oranges, and also silver and gold.
Ear wires can be chosen from either gold or silver.
If there is some other combination that is needed, feel free to email Elizabeth and you can discuss it.

This is a lovers' instrument. In the old days, a young couple had to be chaperoned at all times. In an effort to have some time alone, this couple could take the mountain dulcimer into the parlor or kitchen, away from adult eyes. As long as the dulcimer music was playing, the chaperone would leave the couple alone. A talented couple could play and kiss at the same time. Since this was the age of chivalry, a gentleman always tuned the ladie's side. A very unique musical instrument.

A love of music and woodworking began at an early age. At his fathers side, he became familiar with walnut, cherry, cedar and other native American woods. These clocks are 11" with black plastic and glass frame. Each clock has a mountain dulcimer player and hammered dulcimer player. The other two musicians will vary. As for the stitched instruments, they all have autoharp, mandolin, guitar, bass, hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, banjo and fiddle. If there is some other combination that is needed, feel free to email Melissa and you can discuss it.
The jaws (padded with felt to protect the instrument) are assorted hardwoods (maple and cherry shown). A piece of heavier-than-posterboard supported sheet music from behind, and all is held in the 2" wide clamp. The screw is covered with plastic to protect the instrument. Adjustable for shallow or deep bodied dulcimers. If your dulcimer is 3" or deeper, ask for the special long screw.

"As a professional woodwind performer IMHO the only Native American flute brand to consider is High Spirits Flutes, Patagonia, Arizona. Precisely tuned, huge selection of keys, inlay, styles including beautiful double and triple drone flutes. Their prices are also the best out there for tuned flutes starting at $69. I have used them on several CDs and the response, tone, and intonation is flawless. No financial connection with this company. We do sell this brand in our shop but you can get them directly from High Spirits Flutes."

and not expensive. From there your choices are as variable
as your choices in dulcimers...for your own reasons!!!!!"
